The activists of Dream for Darfur are putting rhetoric above action, writes Coke VP Tom Mattia in an editorial in Advertising Age magazine. The public affairs and communications executive says Coke had worked to address suffering in Darfur for nearly a year before Dream for Darfur's campaign began in June 2007. The company continues to support delivery of supplies and health care and efforts to end the fighting, Mattia writes. GE, US Olympic Committee Announce Research Programs On US Athletes
The U.S. Olympic Committee, or USOC, and General Electric Co. unveiled two research programs to demonstrate that health monitoring and early intervention leads to injury prevention, better health and performances by athletes.
